Dryer Error Codes

Dryer error codes appear when the drum will not turn, the dryer will not heat, or a sensor reports a fault. Before anything else, clean the lint filter and check that the exhaust vent is not crushed or clogged — restricted airflow causes a large share of dryer codes. Common dryer problems

Dryer runs but no heat: check the circuit breaker (electric dryers need 240V), the thermal fuse, and the vent for blockages.
Drum will not tumble: a broken belt or failed motor is likely — unplug the dryer and call a technician.
AF / airflow codes: clean the lint screen and the full length of the exhaust duct.
Gas dryer smells of gas: do not use it — turn off the gas supply and call a professional immediately.
